Craft Beer Has Strong Roots on the Farm

Keeping in line with the mission at Pennings Farm of #farmforlife, the New York’s booming craft beverage industry finds firm roots here on our Warwick, NY farm.

With a thankful thumbs-up to the New York legislature that leads craft beverage producers to choose New York ingredients for their products, Pennings is a haven for craft beverage enthusiasts to enjoy some of the best products around, produced right here in New York.
Governor Cuomo’s initiatives have seen significant growth in the number of manufacturers supporting our local farms and spurring job creation across the Empire State. We can’t help but to emphasize #farmforlife!

Collaborative efforts with local breweries are regularly made to produce craft beers that incorporate ingredients grown here on Pennings Farm in the heart of Orange County. We are firm believers that it takes a village to raise a delicious locally brewed craft beer. Cheers to our friends at Westtown Brew Works, Glenmere Brewery, Rushing Duck Brewing Company, Tröegs Independent Brewing, Butternuts Beer & Ale and Cricket Hill and Sing Sing Kill Brewery for crafting specialty beers with Pennings grown hops, pumpkins, and peaches.

The Pennings Cidery Taproom is a modernized interpretation of what it would be like to imbibe craft beverage in a farm-like setting. During the warmer months, we open our barn doors to let in the fresh air as you overlook the apple and peach orchards. Our expansive hillside lawn offers space where you can dine al fresco on Brick Oven Pizza and Garlic Knots and enjoy live music on select weekends.
